Wyndham City Celebrates Milestone as Western United Football Club Moves into Regional Football Facility

Wyndham City is abuzz with excitement as the Regional Football Facility nears completion, heralding a proud moment for the community. With Western United Football Club (WUFC) set to make the facility their new home and prepare for their inaugural matches, anticipation is running high.

This facility marks the first stage of the ambitious A-League Stadium Project in partnership with Western Melbourne Group (WMG). Comprising three pitches, a two-storey pavilion, and boasting a capacity for 5,000 spectators, the state-of-the-art venue will host both Liberty A-League Women matches and Isuzu UTE A-League Men matches.

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Jennie Barrera, expressed her delight at reaching this significant milestone, emphasizing the importance of the project for the community. She highlighted the facility's role in increasing access and participation in football across the West, while also providing talent pathways for aspiring athletes.

The collaboration between Wyndham City Council and WMG is set to redefine sport in the region. With the next phase of the project underway, which includes a purpose-built 15,000 capacity stadium and an 800-lot residential community, the vision for an integrated sports and lifestyle precinct is taking shape.
