BUXTON CONTEMPORARY
Embodying the essence of modernity, Buxton Contemporary stands as one of Australia's latest major art museums. Its contemporary design, featuring luminous and expansive spaces, includes teaching facilities and four public exhibition galleries across two levels, showcasing remarkable pieces from the Michael Buxton Collection of Australian art. Designed by Fender Katsalidis, this cultural gem, nestled in Melbourne’s
Southbank arts precinct, opened its doors to the public in 2018.
Beyond its gallery spaces, Buxton Contemporary boasts an outdoor courtyard and hosts the largest dedicated moving image art display screen in Australia. The venue is further equipped with a fully furnished meeting room, offering an ideal setting for corporate and private events.
Entrusted with overseeing the entire hospitality tender process, the University of Melbourne, in their role as venue owners and managers, engaged Perfectly Paired to skillfully coordinate every aspect of this vital initiative. This involved not only cultivating Expressions of Interest (EOI) from potential partners but also setting the stage to engage a caterer of exceptional caliber. The goal was to entrust a creative and experienced catering partner with pivotal roles in venue operations, including sales, marketing, and the delivery of extraordinary event experiences.
Perfectly Paired, functioning as hospitality sales consultants, further contributed to the project by crafting and implementing a robust venue sales and marketing strategy. This strategy, geared towards sustainable growth, aimed to heighten public awareness of Buxton Contemporary as one of Melbourne’s premier event and exhibition venues. Our collaborative approach ensured a seamless blend of artistic innovation with hospitality excellence, creating an atmosphere where creativity and exceptional experiences converge.
